OPERATION CLEAN UP OUR COMMUNITY

The Rotary Club of Awka GRA in Partnership with Rotaract Club of Awka GRA, Rotaract Club of ONIT and Anambra state Waste Management Agency embarked on the environmental sanitation project to clean up the Eke Awka Market and its environ which was littered with debris which accumulated from the market. The Rotaractors provided the man power while the Anambra State Waste Management Agency provided the refuse disposal equipments. This project was carried out on the 27th of July 2013 during the National Environmental Sanitation Day.

RTN. SIR EMEKA OFFOR PASSIONATE APPEAL TO ERADICATE POLIO IN NIGERIA THROUGH THE DONATION OF $1 MILLION

John Germ, vice chair of the International PolioPlus Committee, asked Rotarians to reach out to their non-Rotarian colleagues to raise money for polio eradication. He also introduced Sir Emeka Offor, a Nigerian Rotarian  from the Rotary Club of Awka GRA, who announced that he is making a new US$1 million contribution to PolioPlus.
